Privacy Policy
1. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to provide finance tracking features.
Account information
- Name, email address, and authentication data processed by our sign-in provider
Financial information
- Transactions you add manually, imported transaction alerts, categories, notes, budgets, balances, and reports
Device / technical information
- App version, device type, operating system version
Push notifications
- If you allow notifications, we use them for reminders (for example subscription due dates) and in-app alerts. Your device receives a push token; delivery may use Apple, Google, and/or Expo infrastructure. We do not use notifications for advertising.
Photos, camera & files
- If you choose to set a profile photo or attach an image, the app may access your camera or photo library only when you take that action. Images you attach may be uploaded to our cloud storage (for example Supabase) so they can sync across your devices.
Optional app lock (biometric / PIN)
- If you enable device lock, Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN is handled by your operating system to unlock local access. We do not receive or store your biometric data on our servers.
2. Optional SMS import (Android)
Qoondeeye offers an optional SMS auto-import feature to help record transaction alerts sent by supported local mobile money services, banking institutions, and telecommunication providers.
Permissions
If you enable SMS import, the app requests the Android RECEIVE_SMS permission so it can detect incoming financial notifications. We do not request access to read your existing SMS inbox or history, and we do not monitor, read, or store personal conversations.
What messages are processed
The app processes only recognized, automated financial transaction receipts and mobile wallet notifications. All other personal messages, text verification codes, and unrelated SMS communications are completely ignored. Qoondeeye does not read or scan your historical SMS archive.
How SMS data is used
transaction details—such as transaction amounts, transaction type (income, expense, transfer, top-up, or other supported transaction types), timestamps, balances, reference IDs, and masked sender/recipient identifiers where available.
Your control
SMS import is entirely voluntary and remains disabled by default. You can revoke this permission or toggle the feature off within the application settings at any time.
3. How we use information
We use your data to:
Service
Run finance tracking, reports, and sync across devices.
Improvement & support
Improve reliability and help you when you contact us.
4. Storage & sync
Your records may be stored on your device and synced with backend services (such as Supabase) for backup and multi-device access. Optional receipt images and profile photos may be stored in associated cloud file storage for the same purpose. We do not upload your full SMS inbox, and queued SMS imports store parsed transaction fields only, not your full SMS message body.
6. Your rights & choices
You can:
- Disable SMS import anytime
- Turn off push notifications in system settings
- Revoke camera or photo access in system settings
- Edit or delete transactions
- Request account deletion
- Stop using the app anytime
7. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. To request deletion, email scriptsquad77@gmail.com.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
9. Children's privacy
Qoondeeye is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required where you live).
